Scotstown Primary: 3Rs for Life!

Scotstown Primary in Bridge of Don invited us to work with a cross-school committee to create a bright new mural in the playground.

We joined them for lunch time sketching sessions, deciding on a colour scheme, concept, and most importantly – letters!

The school values are ‘Respect, Responsibility, Resilience’ (which we kept spelling wrong in initial sketches!) and the pupils were keen for us to incorporate these words in our design.

Our design was based on each letter having a different character or design to reflect all the interests and diversity in the school. We included a stencil for ‘Rights Respecting School’ as the pupils value the award and added #3Rs4LYF as a slogan they were using.

When the paint day came it was so hot and some of the pupils came to watch which was great fun!
